Worship at Gloria Dei Saturdays at 5pm & Sundays 9:00am and 10:30am

The Farmer, Blinking Back His Tears

Good morning everyone, Pastor Tim here.  I’m excited to share with you this week one of my favorite devotions.  I’ve been saving it for a special occasion, and that occasion is today!  It is based on the Gospel of….

Pardon this Interruption, this is Jon Sogn (congregation president). I hacked into Pastor Tim’s computer. I hope I didn’t interrupt anything important.

With the pandemic, there are so many people who deserve to be thanked. Thank you to our health care professionals. Thank you first responders. Thank you teachers and school staff. Thank you to those serving in the military. Thank you to everyone who has continued to work or has returned to work. Our prayers to those who have been unable to return to work. Thank you to those who are caring for family members, young and old. Thank you to you for your continuing support of Gloria Dei. The list goes on and on and on.

This week I ask a favor of you. Please take a moment to thank the pastors and staff at Gloria Dei for all they have done, and continue to do, during these uncertain times. They have had to quickly gain new skills and find new ways to keep us connected. Their leadership and positive attitudes have allowed us to continue fulfilling our mission that “Freed by Christ we gather, grow, give and go all to the Glory of God.”

Let’s show our pastors and staff how much we support them and appreciate them! Say “thanks” when you see them. Send them an email. Go crazy and find a pen, a piece of paper and a stamp, and mail them a note. It doesn’t matter how you let them know you appreciate them, just let them know.

Here is a link to a list of Gloria Dei’s wonderful pastors and staff: https://www.gloriadei-sd.org/leadership

We also have an email address to which you can send a thank you note that will be distributed to all the pastors and staff: office@gloriadei-sd.org

Again, thanks to all of you for all you do!  We now return to our regular Friday Followings.

…and the farmer, blinking back his tears, looked to the sky and said “Amen. Amen.”

I hope you find this devotional as inspirational and life-changing as I have.

For worship this weekend please read Acts 9:1-15; 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, and Romans 8:35-39

See you in worship!

Pastor Tim
